Glendale police arrested a 37-year-old man twice in one week, who is accused of sniffing women at a Barnes and Noble once again.
Calese Crowder, a 36-year-old ex-convict, was arrested Friday on suspicion of peeping into a residence in Glendale while a family, including children, were at home.
Crowder has a history of prowling offenses and is the same man seen in viral TikTok videos appearing to crouch behind women sniffing their butts at a Los Angeles area Barnes & Noble bookstore.
One of his victims demands Los Angeles authorities take the perverted prowler more seriously.
Michaela Witter posted about her encounter on TikTok, and the video went viral. She said at least 20 other women contacted her with similar stories.
“Detectives will be speaking with other potential victims to confirm it is the same person they encountered,” a police statement said regarding the Barnes and Noble sniffing incidents.
The repeat offender has been in and out of police custody since at least 2005, records show.
