In sad news, another Google employee has committed suicide.
According to the New York Post, a 31-year-old senior software engineer at Google jumped to his death from the company’s New York City headquarters on Thursday.
Police received multiple calls reporting an unconscious person near the building on 111 Eighth Ave, and when officers arrived at the scene, they found the man and took him to Bellevue Hospital.
The engineer, whom they have not yet named, was said to have been arguing with his girlfriend before the suicide.
According to the New York Post, there was no suicide note left behind by the 31-year-old engineer.
The suicide jump happened around 11:30 pm on Thursday on the ground of the 15th Street side of the building.
This is the second suicide by a Google employee. Earlier in the year, an employee hung himself in his apartment.
