Woman Fatally Mauled by Dogs

Witnesses claimed the dogs that Natasha Johnston, 28, had been paid to walk turned suddenly turned into dogs who acted “like wolves.”

During the inquest, they reported Natasha suffered “multiple penetrating bites to her neck”, leading to a perforated jugular vein.

Authorities seized eight dogs from the scene in Caterham, Surrey, with Natasha’s own pet, an American Bully XL, which was the only one destroyed.

Surrey Police continue to hold five dogs based on a vet’s forensic report, while two dachshunds were returned to their owner last month.

The forensic veterinary report has prompted discussions with the owners of the remaining five dogs who are in private kennels.

Campaigners are calling for a ban on bully or bully crosses, because six out of ten dog-related deaths in the UK last year involved this dog breed.

No criminal charges have been filed yet, and a full inquest is scheduled for next month at Woking Coroner’s Court.
