Boy Found Beaten in Stroller Outside Family Dollar

Authorities arrested a woman in connection with the death of her 3-year-old son, police said.

Timmeka Eggelton, 31, has been charged with murder, according to Cleveland Municipal Court records.

Her son — Curtis Wither — was found unconscious in a stroller outside a Family Dollar on Wednesday on Euclid Avenue near East 79th Street, according to police and court records.

He was taken to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, where he died.

Court records say the boy died from blunt force trauma and his death was ruled a homicide.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has not yet made public its ruling in the case.

Investigators wrote in court records that Eggelton was “untruthful” about what happened the day her son was found and that she was “responsible” for his death.
