King Charles ‘Ready to Reconcile’ With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

King Charles is showing signs he is “ready to reconcile” with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle but has been urged not to cave to a demand from the couple for an apology from the Royal Family.

The relationship between the Sussexes and the Royal Family has plunged to rock bottom following a string of explosive claims from Harry and Meghan since they quit as working royals in early 2020.

King Charles told GB News: Royal news: “He is demonstrating he is ready to reconcile and that ultimately, the onus is on them to make a decision as to whether they want to heal the wounds that have opened up between them and the rest of the Royal Family.

“The King obviously wants to maintain a positive reputation with the British people. In that respect, the easiest solution is for him to try and maintain and keep hold of the moral high ground.”

However, a reconciliation may not be as straightforward as it seems, with reports claiming Harry and Meghan in fact want an apology from the Royal Family for the way they were seemingly treated.

Harry and Meghan are not believed to have spoken face-to-face with King Charles or the rest of the Royal Family in more than a year when they were in the UK at the time of the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.

The prince accepted an invite to his father’s Coronation earlier this year and flew to the UK for the ceremony, but cut a distant figure sitting three rows back at Westminster Abbey before he made an immediate exit afterward and flew home.
