Eye Drops Recall: FDA Warns To Immediately Stop Using These Eye Drops

The FDA is warning consumers to stop using 26 types of over-the-counter eye immediately drops after investigators allegedly found unsanitary conditions at the manufacturing site.

The products are sold under six brands, including CVS Health, Leader, Rugby, Rite Aid, Target Up & Up and Velocity Pharma.

All of these products are now being recalled.

Officials said the products could lead to eye infections resulting in vision loss or even blindness. However, the FDA has not received any adverse health reports yet.

The products are sold under six brands: CVS Health, Leader, Rugby, Rite Aid, Target Up & Up and Velocity Pharma.

FDA recommended the manufacturer of these products recall all lots on October 25, 2023, after agency investigators found insanitary conditions in the manufacturing facility and positive bacterial test results from environmental sampling of critical drug production areas in the facility. FDA also recommends consumers properly discard these products.
